We are the new kids on the block - but this plan did not start yesterday -
The founder started flying 40 years ago and spent a lot of time at the airport giving people instruction.
He received a call from his mother telling him that his Grandmother was falling ill and needed to get from Vancouver BC to a hospital in Seattle.
After looking for an aircraft for 3 hours, he found an aircraft that he could borrow and flew his Mother to Vancouver but was too late her mother had passed just prior to our arrival.
For want of an aircraft…..
A team ordinary of people with an extraordinary vision of getting people to where they need to be.
We are gathered around the mission of providing humanitarian support using aircraft as the primary tool.
This aircraft is our ultimate goal servicing the entire North West in all weather! It will be one of 4 aircraft of different size and ability serving our community!
Did it stop there? Not really, it simmered. While serving 20 years of service in the submarine force the efforts in raising 6 boys into men, flying took a back seat to life. Recently he retired and decided to look into aviation again. Not wanting to just buzz around he decided to look into flying with Angel Flight West. He was fascinated by their mission. He asked around about Angel Flight and many pilots wanted to fly with them but to be effective, keeping proficient and flying 2 to 3 hour missions was just cost prohibitive. AND HERE IS THE AHA MOMENT! PNW Wings For Angels was inspired to give pilots the vehicle to serve others. We put the dream into motion in December of 2024 and received our 501(C)(3) status on January 3, 2025.
