Why We Exist
In 1986, our founder’s grandmother needed immediate transport to reach the medical care that could save her life. There was no aircraft ready, no pilot on call, and no organization built to close that gap. The delay in getting her there contributed to her death.
That loss stayed with him for nearly forty years. Now retired after a full career, he has the time, the skill, and the resolve to make sure no one else waits on a plane that isn’t coming. PNW Wings For Angels exists so that when someone needs to get to care, getting there is never the hardest part.
Who’s Behind It
Our founder has been flying since 1981. He earned his Flight Instructor certificate early on — the most reliable way, at the time, to keep flying without the cost putting him on the ground — and has spent decades in the cockpit since.
Before that, he served 20 years in the United States Navy Submarine Force, the kind of service that leaves you comfortable operating under pressure, inside tight margins, with no room for a missed checklist. After the Navy, he built and sold several successful businesses and managed multimillion-dollar construction projects, including two apartment communities totaling 137 units, from the ground up.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education, and he and his wife, Sandy, raised six sons to adulthood — one of whom now flies for the United States Marine Corps.
PNW Wings For Angels is the next thing he’s building — the one meant to outlast him.
