PNW Wings For Angels doesn’t take flight requests directly. If you or someone you know needs medical transportation, the request starts with Angel Flight West or another partner organization — they handle eligibility, verify the need, and post the mission for pilots like ours.
- A partner organization identifies the need. Angel Flight West (or another partner as we grow) confirms that a patient is ambulatory, medically stable to fly, and has a genuine financial or logistical need for free air transportation.
- Our pilots review the missions and sign up. Angel Flight West posts available missions, and any of our qualified volunteer pilots can claim one that fits their schedule, their aircraft, and where they’re able to fly.
- The mission gets logged. Once a pilot signs up, our Mission Coordinator records the flight — pilot, aircraft, route, and liability waiver — before wheels ever leave the ground.
- The flight happens, at no cost to the passenger. No fees, no fundraising asks directed at the person flying. The pilot donates the aircraft’s operating cost; PNW Wings For Angels covers the rest through donor support.
- The passenger gets where care is waiting. Currently flying missions across the Southwest United States, with room to grow as our fleet does.
